It provides event planners with comprehensive organisational support by helping them to select venues, accommodation and service providers. It also offers advice on supporting programmes, financing options and Green Meeting protocols. By building and maintaining networks with local and international partners and providing logistical support and information, the Convention Bureau helps ensure the quality and success of events.

A conference is a gathering of individuals from different institutions/interests/etc. who consult together on a specific task.
A congress is a non-commercial meeting that is repeated at certain time intervals. Participants have a strong interactive, deliberative and competitive role. Congresses usually last several days.

Meetings of several people (representatives of the legislature, social/economic groups) lasting at least one day. Subject-specific topics are dealt with and questions discussed. Dates are set longer term.

Symposia are conferences with a scientific background. With lectures and discussion contributions from theory and practice, a topic is discussed between specialists.

This can be a company anniversary or a Christmas party, events for customers, employees or business partners. Overall, the experience factor and the emotions of the events are particularly relevant.

Hybrid events are live events that are supplemented with digital elements. The term applies to events that can be attended both live on site and virtually.

A hybrid event combines traditional ways of event planning and execution with the use of digital communication tools or social media.

Incentives are so-called “reward trips” for employees, retailers or customers that are sponsored by the company. Incentive trips are used for regeneration and are used by companies to increase motivation or loyalty to the company internally.

A team event includes all levels of employees, usually to strengthen teamwork, to get to know each other better, and doesn’t include regular work. Team events can include various activities, e.g. sports, cooking, cultural excursions, etc.
